Minister Mike Freer to quit politics after he was stalked by MP killer

A pro-Israel MP has said he is stepping down at the next general election after his constituency office was the target of an arson attack.

Conservative justice minister Mike Freer's office was attacked in December amid rising tensions following Hamas’s assault on Israel and the country's military retaliation in Gaza. Mr Freer revealed Ali Harbi Ali, who killed MP David Amess, also stalked his constituency office. Mr Freer said the attacks “weighed heavily” on him.
